Exciting news for all Android and Google lovers, Google just pulled out a Samsung Galaxy S4 on the Google I/O stage, unlocked, with Stock Android, on Google Play starting June 26. It has an unlocked bootloader, and supports LTE. The device runs on both T-Mobile and AT&T's LTE networks and comes with 16GB of storage.
News said the new Samsung galaxy s4 hit 4 million shipments between April 26 (release date) and April 30, and had reached 6 million units sold by May 10. On the S4, the handset features a 1080p screen with 441 ppi, a 13 megapixel camera, and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor or octa core Exynos chip are among its most impressive pieces of hardware. So should you buy Google's $649 Galaxy S4 or Samsung’s phone?
Familiar hardware, different software
The appeal of this new GS4, of course, depends on your take on Samsung’s and Google’s software. If you want the most features, you’re probably still better off with the standard Samsung version. It gives you most of Google’s features, plus a huge goody bag of TouchWiz features. But if you’re all about pure Google – no manufacturer UIs for you – then this is the new Nexus phone to own.
But Unlike the Nexus 4, which starts off-contract at $300, the GS4 Google Edition won’t come cheap. The GS4 Google Edition starts at US$649 (off-contract, of course) exclusively from Google Play, so you'll be paying a pretty penny for that bigger 1080p screen, LTE, and other goodies.
The Google Edition of the Galaxy S4 will be available starting on June 26. For more information about the standard version, you can check out our Galaxy S4 review and then choose the winner between these two devices, the Google Edition of the Galaxy S4 or Samsung’s galaxy s4. Three ways to add camera shortcuts to Samsung Galaxy S4 lock screen
The Samsung Galaxy S4 packs a stonking 13-megapixel camera and the camera ships with a lot of awesome new smart features, such as Dual Shot, a Sound & Shot mode that puts audio in the background of still images, etc. Catch any moment to keep every memory is very easy with this device. But right out of the box you could be forgiven for thinking there's no way of unlocking the phone straight into the camera app. Like many of the Galaxy S4's advanced features, this is optional, and disabled by default. Enabling it is easy. Just follow these three different ways to add camera shortcuts to the Galaxy S4 lock screen in order to not miss any moment.
The first method is simple enough -- from the Settings app, go to My device > Lock screen and enable "Shortcuts." From there you can customize which shortcut icons are shown down below on the lock screen, and loading one of these apps up is a simple as dragging it upwards. Naturally, one of the defaults is the camera app.
The second and third ways both involve lock screen widgets, and you'll need to enable them through Settings > My device > Lock screen > Multiple widgets. Once that's done, you can go to Lock screen widgets > Favorite apps or Camera, which controls the widget that appears on the far right. The "camera" option is straightforward enough -- select it, and you get a big blocky camera shortcut, like on the Nexus 4. "Favorite apps" is a bit more versatile, and this allows you to customize a grid of apps -- one of these, of course, can be the camera app.
So there's more than one way to get your camera shortcut fix on the GS4, and there's a good chance at least one of these three will suit the way you use your phone. For a quick walkthrough, just check out the video above from androidcentral.

Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. HTC One: Battle of the 2013 Flagship Smartphones
Which phone is the best android smartphone 2013? Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One? In terms of smartphone quality, the difference between HTC and Samsung is minor. The HTC One and Galaxy S4 both boast impressive specs and some of the most innovative technology currently available, but can we determine which the better phone is? Which Smartphone is right for you? Let’s compare them and decide if you have a phone plan.
Size
The Galaxy S4 and One are roughly the same height. The One, though, is 2 mm narrower and about 18 percent thicker.
Build materials
While the Galaxy S4 is made of plastic, the anodized aluminum HTC one may set a new benchmark for smartphone design. With that said, many customers prefer plastic to metal in a phone, so you might want to experiment on your own to find your preference.
Weight
HTC one weighs 143 grams and The Galaxy S4 is over 9 percent lighter than the One.
Display
Both phones have absurdly-sharp 1080p displays. Compared to HTC One’s 4.7inch screen, Galaxy S4’s screen is a bit larger, which features a 5-inch screen. The Galaxy S4's display uses Super AMOLED technology, while the One sports a Super LCD 3 screen. Expect some hyper-saturated colors in the S4.
Processor
Both versions of the Galaxy S4 should be faster than the One. But as high-end smartphone engines have outpaced the performance requirements of most apps, right now the difference may not show anywhere but in benchmarks.
RAM
Both handsets are power with 2 GB of random-access memory (RAM) to make sure device runs smoothly.
Storage
The base model of the One doubles the internal flash memory of the base Galaxy S4. But Samsung’s handset makes up for it with an expandable microSD card slot.
Wireless
If your local carrier supports LTE, both phones should be able to take advantage of the speedy network.
Battery
The Galaxy S4 features a removable 2,600 mAh Li-Ion battery and the HTC One features a non-removable 2,300 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
Cameras
On paper, this looks like utter dominance for the Galaxy S4. But the notion that megapixel count is an absolute and direct measurement of camera quality is misguided. HTC’s One may demonstrate this better than any other smartphone. The company put less pixels in the phone's sensors, but the pixels are bigger (HTC calls them “Ultrapixels”). The One also has f2.0 aperture and a 1/3-inch backlit-CMOS sensor, which HTC says will mean better performance in low light.
Detailed Camera comparison, check: HTC One vs. Samsung galaxy s4 vs. iPhone 5 vs. The Latest Smartphones: Camera comparison
Software
In terms of Software, Samsung galaxy s4 runs on the latest 4.2.2 operating system, ahead of the HTC One.
Much more obvious, though, are the custom manufacturer UIs sitting on top of Android. Samsung is pushing its TouchWiz as hard as it can, trying to distance itself from Google’s underlying OS. This means a ton of “innovative new features” that are almost overwhelming to recap, such as Air Hover (preview select tasks by hovering your finger over the display), Dual Camera (combine front-facing and rear-facing stills or video), and Smart Scroll (scroll through emails and web pages via facial recognition). They might be more gimmicky than revolutionary, but you have to hand it to Samsung for trying new ideas.
HTC’s new Sense 5, meanwhile, scales itself back a bit. While it previously succumbed to feature creep (which Samsung may now be stepping into), the One’s version of Sense simplifies things a bit.
One of Sense’s more memorable features is Blinkfeed, which puts a Flipboard-like news hub on your homescreen. In addition to the familiar grid of app icons, your phone greets you with a tiled view of social and news feeds.
Bottom Line
The Galaxy S 4 is a wonderful device. I doubt many will “regret” buying it. It's jam-packed with new camera features, it's fast, and it has all-day battery life. Beyond all that, its software enhancements – not those gimmicky waving and tilting ones, but the other ones -- make it standout among all other Android phones and even the iPhone.
But on the other hand, I just wish Samsung had put that same attention into the design of the physical phone. The HTC One and the iPhone 5 are simply better-designed and crafted pieces of hardware. So which is your choice? Welcome to share your comments below.

Sprint
Sprint's Galaxy S4 launch day is April 27, though you will be able to pre-order the device on April 18. The 16GB version of the phone will start at $249.99 with a two-year contract. New Sprint customers can get the phone for $149.99 with a two year contract.

Other retailers
While you can get your Galaxy S4 straight from the carrier of your choice, you'll also be able to purchase it from Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile, Costco, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Staples, Target and Wal-Mart.
Walmart Stores, the world's largest retailer, will sell the AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile versions of the phone. The AT&T version will cost $168 with a two-year contract at Walmart. Walmart will also drop the price of the Verizon and AT&T Galaxy S3 to $39.88 with a two-year contract.
Staples will have the phone. You can pre-order now through Staples.com and it will have some carrier versions of it at 500 of its select mobile phone stores on April 26. The AT&T version will be available for $199.99 with a two-year contract at Staples on April 26. The T-Mobile version will be out on May 1 at the store.
The Galaxy S4 will be available in two colors, "Black Mist" and "White Frost," and offer a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a full-HD Super AMOLED display (with a 1920 x 1080 resolution). It will come in 16GB and 32GB versions (though this can be expanded thanks to a microSD slot). In the front, there'll be a 2-megapixel camera and in the back there'll be a 13-megapixel beast.
The 5-inch device will run Android 4.2.2, better known as Jelly Bean, and have Samsung's latest TouchWiz "enhancements." Thanks to features such as Air Gesture and Air View, you'll be able to take actions without ever touching your smartphone's screen. (Just wave your hand or hover your finger over the display and watch what happens.) And if your hands are too busy, then you can just plain scroll through items by looking up or down.

Phone Plan: Google Now, Exclusive Nokia , Samsung Soon or Apple Later?
If you are in the market for a high-end smartphone today, which phone would you choose? Android smartphone, Windows 8 phone or iOS devices? Every platform and manufacturer has its partisans, but the three front-runners are clearly the Google Nexus 4, Nokia Lumia 920, the soon-to-be released Samsung Galaxy 4 and (at the moment) the iPhone 5. Adding to the confusion about the decision is the uncertainty of the release date of the next iPhone, likely called the 5S, which could drop any time between June and November.
For the sake of clarity (at the expense of the full, mind-numbing complexities that these questions imply), I will isolate each of these three products in terms of its most essential proposition about what you value in a smartphone and let you reach your own conclusions.
Google Nexus 4
If you are a true lover in the Google platform, Nexus 4 is for you. The Nexus 4 comes with the latest version of Android and gets updates directly from Google, so you’ll always have the fastest, most up-to-date software on your phone. Although the Galaxy 4 ships with the latest version of Android and will support Google Now—the jewel of Google’s software crown—the Nexus 4 is assured of maintaining current Android status with firmware updates, while Samsung may fork its TouchWiz user interface further in its own direction. Contentious competition with Apple means that the Nexus 4 is and will remain the best way to have the full Google experience, if that’s what you are after.
Samsung galaxy s4
In terms of pure hardware specs, the Galaxy 4 beats the other current competitors and perhaps even the forthcoming iPhone 5s. If you want the biggest, brightest screen, latest smart features such as Air View, Motion control, eye-tracking and the most connectivity options, the Galaxy 4 is for you. And if you are going to buy a Samsung SmartTV in your future, the Galaxy 4 will be the device most integrated with that line. It integrates with TVs, a Fitbit-like scale and its own HomeSync personal cloud, but it is not clear that its software and services are as top-of-the-line as its hardware.
Nokia Lumia 920
Tired of Android or iOS? Love the look of Metro's live tiles? Then the Nokia Lumia 920 is your wise choice. Running on the latest Windows Phone 8 operating system, Lumia 920 features a 4.5 inch PureMotion HD+ display, LTE, 8.7MP PureView camera, 1.2MP front camera, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, wireless charging, 2000 mAh battery,1GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory , Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia City Lens. There is no doubt that Lumia 920 is the best windows 8 phone until now.
iPhone 5 and 5S
Unlike Microsoft's Windows Phone and Google's Android, Apple does not license iOS for installation on non-Apple hardware. Apple makes both the hardware and the operating system for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, everything is designed to work together. So apps take full advantage of hardware features such as the Retina display, the Multi-Touch interface, the accelerometer, the three-axis gyro, accelerated graphics, and more. FaceTime is a perfect example. It uses both front and back cameras, the display, the microphone, and your Wi Fi connection.
It’s getting harder, perhaps, to justify the leadership position of the iPhone in the face of these high-end Android devices. But beyond the inertia of Apple’s first mover advantage, iOS still has a considerable edge as an app platform. The iPhone is still the starting point for most high-quality app developers because its users have repeatably been shown as more engaged than their Android counterparts. So if you want to access to the latest and greatest apps, the more advanced mobile operating system, iPhone is obviously your choice.
The circuit of software created by Google Now, Google Maps, Google Search, Gmail and the Chrome browser may well be the best overall platform, but it can’t be completely executed on Apple devices because of the companies’ Punch and Judy show.

Google Nexus 5 Rumors Roundup: Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 Or Wait For Next Nexus?
The Google Nexus 4, made by LG, is an awesome Android smartphone at an amazing price and makes a huge success. Now rumors of a Nexus 5 phone are piling up in anticipation of the next big thing. According to the rumors, the Nexus 5 will be unveiled in May alongside Key Lime Pie 7 during Google’s annual Google I/O conference. Of late Samsung have announced its flagship-Samsung galaxy s4, which bring us a lot of innovative software features. AT&T is now accepting preorder for the device. So should we get the Samsung galaxy s4 now or wait for to see will Nexus s5 bring new surprises and take the tech world by storm? Will it beats the galaxy s4? Let’s check out the rumors and then make a choice.
Screen: According to the report from CNET, Nexus 5 will have a 5.2-inch 1,920x1,080-pixel OLED Display.
Processor: CNET also point out that the device is going to powers with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 at 2.3 GHz clock speed parried with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM.
Camera: Rumors said the device will equip with a16-megapixel rear camera with GPS by OmniVision (Rumor also side Nexus 5 will have a Nikon camera) and a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera. The back camera is capable of recording 4K video and the front camera is capable of recording 1080p video.
Memory: It's also rumored Nexus 5 come in the standard 16/32/64GB storage options with no expansion as Google would still want Nexus devices owners to tap into Google Drive for their space requirements.
Battery: 3,300mAh lithium polymer battery
Software: The handset reportedly runs on Android 5.0 “Key Lime Pie,” the next version of Google’s mobile operating system and may feature some sort of gesture-based controls.
Price: The low price tag has always done the LG Nexus 4 well, so Google would be daft to ask for more. We may be looking at $300 for the 16GB and $350 for the 32GB LG Nexus 5.
Other features: Qualcomm RF360 (LTE 150Mbps and HSPA+), front stereo speakers, integrated DVB-T / ATSC-antenna and gesture like controls (navigation, zoom, etc.).
The Nexus 5 appears to be amazing in every aspect! So that is the question: will you buy the Galaxy S4 after shipping or wait for the release of Nexus 5? Welcome to share your comments below.

Battle of the Androids: Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. LG Nexus 4
According to the latest news, Samsung highly-anticipated galaxy s4 will be available for pre-order on April 16 for AT&T customers for $249.99 with a new two-year agreement, but there's still no word when the phone will actually hit shelves. That is to say, if you've been waiting eagerly to buy Samsung's Galaxy S4, you'll have to wait at least another month. Can you wait until that time or maybe you can pick other superphone like the Nexus 4, which have always been Google’s pure, untarnished vision of its platform. Today we compare the specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG Nexus 4.
Size
Compared to Samsung galaxy s4, the nexus 4 is a bit shorter, narrow and thinner. The size differences here are pretty minor.
Display
The Galaxy s4 features a 5-inch screen, larger and sharper than the Nexus 4, the device which have a display of 4.7-inch. The Galaxy S4’s Super AMOLED has blacker blacks (technically no light comes through black pixels) but hyper-saturated colors. The Nexus 4’s IPS display, meanwhile, leads to better viewing angles and more accurate color reproduction.
Processor
The Nexus 4’s Snapdragon S4 Pro chip is a beast. Ditto for both versions of the Galaxy S4: the North American version’s quad core Snapdragon 600 and the international version’s octa core Exynos chip.
So In terms of benchmarks and experience, the galaxy s4 is going to beat the Nexus 4.
RAM
The two devices are tied up, each with 2 GB of RAM.
Storage
In this aspect, Samsung galaxy s4 have a big advantage than Nexus 4. Storage options of Galaxy s4 are provided in the form of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal memory, while Nexus 4 only comes 8GB and 16GB. At the same time, only the Galaxy S4 allows you to expand its storage with a microSD card.
Cameras
The Galaxy S4 has a 13 MP camera, and sports several new camera software features. Dual Camera combines video or images from the front and back cameras, under a variety of templates. Also included is Drama Shot, which takes bursts of shots and combines them automatically into a collage. Nexus 4 packs a 8 megapixels camera, but you don’t have to worry about the Nexus 4’s shooter. It takes great shots, and can easily replace a point-and-shoot.
Wireless
There’s no LTE for the Nexus 4. It does support HPSA+, which offers faster than 3G speeds ... but LTE it is not. You’ll also need to sign up with a GSM carrier for the Nexus 4, as CDMA (that's Verizon and Sprint in the U.S.) networks aren’t supported.
Battery
Although Galaxy s4 powers with a 2600mAh battery while Nexus 4 only packs with a 2100mAH battery. Does that mean the Galaxy S4 – with more capacity – will get better uptime? Maybe, maybe not. Still now, we have no answers.
Software
The Galaxy S4 will ship with the latest version of Android, 4.2.2, runs its own operating system. Samsung is increasingly hiding its Android roots under a heavy layer of “TouchWiz” – complete with a bevy of crazy features (facial-recognition scrolling, fitness tracking, photos with accompanying audio clips ...).
Meanwhile, the Nexus 4 – like all Nexus devices – runs “pure Google,” or stock Android. What you see is exactly what Android’s creators and designers intended - and nothing more.
Though the two phones run the same version of Android right now, that may not last long. Without manufacturer skins or carrier clayware, the Nexus 4 will be first to receive future Android updates. Samsung has improved its support for updates, but GS4 owners will have to wait much longer for Key Lime Pie (or whatever the next major version is called) than Nexus 4 owners will.
So will you buy the Nexus 4 or wait for the Samsung galaxy s4? Welcome to share your opinions below.

Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. HTC One vs. iPhone 5, Will Samsung Continue to Rule the Universe?
Oh yeah, Samsung Electronics Co finally premiered its latest flagship android phone, the Galaxy S4, which features a bigger display, faster processor and no surprise a litany of new features such as Eye-Tracking and gesture controls , as the South Korean giant challenges Apple Inc. on its home turf.
Packed with a 5-inch screen, a 13-megapixel camera, and either a quad- or octo-core processor (depending on where you are), the GS4 is dressed to the nines with hardware goods. So Today, let’s see how it stacks up against the HTC One, and iPhone 5, two of the most talked about phone of this year, especially the htc one.

So Today, let’s see how it stacks up against the HTC One, and iPhone 5, two of the most talked about phone of this year, especially the htc one.
Software and Features:
Camera Features: The Galaxy S4 has a 13 MP camera, but the most important features are in the camera software. The S4 sports several new camera software features. Dual Camera combines video or images from the front and back cameras, under a variety of templates. Also included is Drama Shot, which takes bursts of shots and combines them automatically into a collage. The Sound & Shot feature – as you might expect – adds sound clips to still photos. The device runs Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI layered on top.
Other features: The rumor about the S4's Smart Scroll feature turned out to be legit ... sort of. It will supposedly scroll web pages and emails up and down without touching the screen, but the technology is based on facial recognition and wrist movement, not eye movement. The Galaxy S4 features a few other facial tracking features, including Smart Pause – which will automatically pause a video you’re watching when you take your eyes away from the screen, and resumes playback when you look back.
Samsung also has added a series of new exclusive features that might add to people's daily lives. S Health takes advantage of the accelerometer in the phone to track your steps and other fitness activity. Like the FitBit or Jawbone Up, Samsung is also getting into the fitness band or tracker market; its products will integrate with the app.
Other apps include S Translate, which can translate voice to text, and Samsung's remote app, which uses the IR blaster in the phone to become a remote control for your TV.
Samsung now hasn't yet announced pricing or specific release info, but it says that the handset will ship globally beginning in Q2, 2013. With the Galaxy s4 which comes with a better screen, a better camera, and some cool new software features, Samsung have a huge opportunity to ensure another huge success. So which one is your favorite among these three smartphones? Thanks for leaving your opinions.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Release Date Nears: 6 New Features You Can Expect
Samsung will officially announce its long-waited Galaxy S4 at a big press event in New York tomorrow, possibly in retaliation to the HTC One buzz that Samsung predicted might pop up, the launch is earlier than last year. As we we've gotten closer to the Galaxy S4 unveiling, a lot of news about the device has started trickling out, so we put it all in one place for you right here. Let’s go and have a look what new features that Samsung galaxy s4 may bring to us.
1. Eye Tracking: Navigating the phone with your eyes is one of the Samsung Galaxy S4's rumored features. The new feature allows the user to scroll through Web pages, emails and other texts using just their eye movements. This feature is also expected to include “Eye Pause,” which will have the ability to pause videos when the user’s eyes move away from the screen. But a recent Bloomberg article reports that eye-scrolling (one of eye-tracking's behavioral expressions) won't make it into the Galaxy S4, but there's a strong chance that future devices could feature it.
2. Touchless controls: According to the report from the Korean publication DDaily, rumor says the Galaxy S IV can be controlled by touchless gestures instead of regular taps and swipes, for example, you can just answer a call by simply lifting the phone to their ear or even to click icons by hovering their finger over the screen.
3. Samsung Wallet / Mobile payments: Samsung has just announced its new Wallet mobile payment app at the Mobile World Congress and it looks like Apple’s Passbook feature, which allows the user to store virtual purchases such as concert tickets and airline boarding passes in their iPhone. The company also recently announced support for mobile payments via a new partnership with Visa, which will most likely roll out with the S4.
4. Sharper Camera: Unlike htc one’s 4-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera, it is said that Samsung galaxy s4 also will have a higher-density, 13-megapixel camera, up from 8 megapixels in the S3, according to the people. And based on the news from tech website CNET, Samsung Galaxy S4 may have 3D camera and allowing users to take 360-degree panoramic images with their phones, may be a redesigned lens too.
5. Wirelessly charge: Following the steps of Nokia, Samsung Electronics is expected to add wireless charging capability to their flagship models in 2013. Samsung is expected to adopt Qi wireless charging technology run by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) for the Galaxy S IV.
6. Hardware updates: Samsung galaxy s3 powers with super specs and there is no doubt that the S4 is expected to ship with a speedy quad core processor, a 4.99-inch high definition AMOLED display and a 13-megapixel rear mounted camera. The device will also be available with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for additional space.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumors: View from The Outside
- Screen: The Samsung galaxy s4 is said to feature a slightly larger 4.99-inch Full HD SoLux Display with a reported resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, which comes out to be an extremely dense-looking display at 450+ ppi, slightly less than the new released HTC One (469ppi).
- Size and Weight: The Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to measure 140.1 mm x 71.8 mm x 7.7 mm, just 0.1 mm thicker than the depth of the iPhone 5 from Apple. The galaxy s4 is rumored to have a weight of 138gm, up on the 133g S3.
- Available Color: Galaxy S4 will come in black and white, no original blue included.
- Processor: Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to feature a new Exynos 5 Octa CPU, with its eight cores running at 1.8GHz clock speed. It's coupled with a PowerVR SGX 544 graphics processor, with 2GB of RAM onboard. Still, there have been rumors of niggling problems with the Exynos 5 prior to the S4's launch, so there could still be a few Qualcomm handsets in the pipeline.
- Camera: According the news from CNET, Samsung galaxy s4 will have a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capability, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Until now, we are not sure that if Samsung will adopts any of the new photography technologies on its Galaxy S4, just like The HTC and Nokia did on their flagship. The new HTC One features a new 4-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera and is said to captures 300 percent more light than current competing smartphone sensors.

- Software: We expect the Galaxy S4 to run Android 4.2 with Samsung's own TouchWiz 6.0 user interface over the top. Used by all of Samsung's Android devices, including its smartphones, tablets and the Galaxy Camera, TouchWiz makes major aesthetic changes to Android and brings Samsung's 'designed for humans, inspired by nature' theme introduced last year with the S3 to the forefront of every device. And According to a New York Times report Samsung galaxy s4 will include eye-tracking technology that turns your eyeballs into page scrollers. The phone will track a user’s eyes to determine where to scroll.
- Other Features: Wireless Charging, better NFC
