Create A Bootable Pendrive And Setup your Pc

Nowadays everything became very fast. People usually don't want to wait for a service. Everyone is running on their way to save more time. There was a time when Computer user usually Setup their computer by using CD disk. But it took lots of time to complete the whole process.

Nowadays people use Pendrive to install fresh windows which called bootable Pendrive. It takes less time than CD process. So, What does it means! It means we can save our valuable time by using bootable Pendrive to Setup a computer. Lets back to the work. 

We will use Rufus software

Rufus is a small software less than 1 MB. It also a portable software which means you don't need to install the software just double click on the software. However, Rufus can create a bootable flash file only from IOSs means you need to have an ISO image file.

Step 1:- (choose your USB) When you start Rufus, the First option is device. It contains all Removable drive which is connected to your computer. Select The drive which you want to make bootable.

Step 2:- Choose 'MBR Partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI

Step 3:- Select the file system "NTFS"

Step 4:- Check on "Create a bootable disk" And select the Iso file which is you download or copy from A CD drive.

N: B: Rufus will Format your selected drive and delete everything from Pendrive before making bootable.

Step 5:- Click on the start button. And wait till it competes for its process.

Step 6:- To setup from bootable Pendrive, First reboot your computer and select your USB drive as primary boot from Bios menu.

Voodoo-Kali - Kali Linux Desktop on Windows 10

How it works ?
 * Kali Linux with XFCE Desktop Environment in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)
 * VcXsrv X Server for Windows is doing the hard GUI lifting
 * XFCE is started natively in WSL and displayed by VcXsrv

Install Voodoo-Kali:
 1, Enable WSL and install Kali Linux from the Microsoft Store. Read Install Kali Linux desktop on Windows 10 from Microsoft Store

 2, To start Kali Linux in Windows 10, open Command Prompt and enter command: kali

 3, Enter this commands:
      apt install wget -y 
      wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Re4son/WSL-Kali-X/master/install-WSL-Kali-X
      bash ./install-WSL-Kali-X

 4, Download and install VcXsrv Windows X Server from SourceForge

 5, Start VcXsrv, accept change in firewall rules, exit VcXsrv

Run Voodoo-Kali:
   Start kali in Windows as normal user (that’s default), and launch Voodoo-Kali:
    * as normal user: ./start-xfce
    * as root: sudo /root/xtart-xfce

Run Kali Desktop in an RDP session:
   In Kali Linux WSL, type: sudo /etc/init.d/xrdp start
   In Windows 10, open Run and enter mstsc.exe and connect to “127.0.0.1:3390”

Status: Voodoo-Kali is in it’s infancy and it is far from being elegant. I’m working on it though and step by step I’ll push out improvements. Below a snippet of the To-Do list:
 * Clean up and comment the scripts
 * Make for a cleaner exit
 * Better error handling and dependency checking (get rid of sleeps, etc.)

Getting Kali Linux Installed on WSL and updating Kali Linux on WSL
 * Update your Windows 10 machine. Open an administrative PowerShell window and install the Windows Subsystem with this one-liner. A reboot will be required once finished:
      Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux

 * Once rebooted, open the Microsoft Store and search for the “Kali Linux” application, or alternatively click here to go there directly. Install the app anh choose Launch

 * This may take a few minutes. Enter this commands to update Kali Linux:

   Sometimes, you can inadvertently kill your Kali WSL instance, due to an overzealous command, an unintentional action, or even due to Kali or WSL bugs. If this happens, here is a quick recovery guide to get back on top of things. Note: this process will wipe your Kali WSL chroot, and re-extract a new copy. Any changes made to the filesystem will be gone, and reset to default.
